Vision of Knowledge is a professionally managed, non-profit organisation set up by a group of citizens who wanted to bring about positive social change through education.
Vision of Knowledge was established in 2017 in the UK after seeing the serious poverty and poor educational provision for children in Pakistan.
Objective: Restless desire to bring education to poor and deserving communities across Pakistan.
At Vision of Knowledge we believe that education is key to helping people break out of the poverty cycle. By educating boys and girls in developing countries, we are giving them the tools for better opportunities and a brighter future. What’s more, acquired skills and knowledge are resources that can be shared and passed on, without being depleted. Education doesn’t just empower individuals, it lifts entire communities.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Our Founder, Javed Iqbal, travelled to flood-affected areas in 2010 to help people reconstruct their homes. He noticed that children were roaming the streets freely during the day. He later found out that there was no school. These children had been deprived of a basic right. Being a silent observer wasn’t going to solve anything. It was time to take action.
